Such a cool model....that roof spotlight is a work of art in itself!

2 Thumbs up.

Adjustable ballast

Light in the stern because I grabbed the wrong ballast tube !

I use discarded powdered lemonade tubes filled with copper coated lead shot as removable ballast containers ...

This one was too light.

There is a track in the center of the model where the tube rests, the tube is adjustable for and aft to accommodate conditions.

The adjustable ballast is a good idea Tim. I'll keep that in mind.

Oh man, 10 days in Maui....if you've been there you know what I mean. If you haven't been there I can't explain it.

So much snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. Found some great breweries and had many funny colored drinks too. Water temp was 78 with visability of 80 to 100 feet. Went for 2 different snorkel cruises and 1 sunset cruise on the Alii Nui, a beautiful 65'x36' catamaran. First cruise was an all female crew...they were so awesome. Worked so hard and so nice to talk to. I heard there were 2 Delta Marine charter boats on the island.....I found them and talked with the crews a bit. Both boats made their way from Seattle to Maui on a big shipping boat. So much good good food everywhere too....now when can the wife and I go back?

Pics below

Tim,

Since you have been "walking the walk, and talking the talk", for several years now, are you FINALLY going to enter TugFest, and show us what you and your tugs can really do???
I would like to see Ken moving a 100 lb. barge. Twin screw, 4 rudders, and you said it was way over powered, should be EASY.

Yup and yup. They were all so nice and did a great job running the cruise. Would do it again tomorrow if I could.

Would love to go back to Maui again someday. Had my feet in sandy beaches all over the world. But there's nothing like the beaches in Hawaii!
