New Product

OpenPilot - Revo Nano

Great news everyone!

There are some very exciting things happening in the project that we want to to announce today. The first is new hardware, we have been working on this for quite sometime and we call it the Nano. It's a very small STM32F4 board, it has a 10 DoF sensor suite and will ship with a custom case designed by m_thread.

This is much more than a miniaturized OP Revolution. I've never flown a flight controller as smooth and crisp as this one. The Nano also supports full GPS navigation.

Specs:
  • STM32 F4 Microcontroller
  • Invensense MPU-9250 Gyro/Accel and Mag IC
  • MS5611-01BA03 baro
  • Main port (Hardware Serial I/O, Inverted Hardware Serial Input (For SBUS) )
  • Flexi Port (DTR, ADC, I2C)
  • 8-pin Flexi-IO port (PWM, PPM, SPI)
  • 6-pin Servo Output port.
  • Soft Serial can run on any GPIO port.
  • Comes with Case
  • Case Dimensions: 36.5mm x 27mm x 11.5mm.
  • PCB Dimensions: 30mm x 16.5mm
  • Weight: 7g including case and sticker

Retail Price of Flight Controller: $49.95 USD
  • 1 x Nano Flight Controller
  • 1 x Case
  • 1 x 8 pin JST-SH to servo pin cable

Full hardware kit (navigation): $109.95 USD
  • 1 x Nano Flight Controller
  • 1 x Case
  • 1x Platinum GPS
  • All necessary cables

OPLM kits available for $75 for a limited time (which is $14 off)
  • 2 x OPLM
  • Nagoya Antenna
  • Air Antenna
  • Hostmode USB
  • Serial cables

More info!

Here's some of the great work BiggerAl has been up to!

These are GPS flight tests that occurred shortly before OneShot125 was added to the code. Keep in mind these are full GPS functions on a mini quad!
OpenPilot GPSAssist now with Altitude Control (3 min 15 sec)

An example of how to setup some GPS functions:
Return to Base and Land setup steps (0 min 26 sec)

OP now supports BLHeli integration. The GUI isn't finished yet. This just shows how it functions. Thanks to samguns for doing the majority of the work with this code and thanks to sskaug and 4712 for the great work they put into BLHeli.

Here's is the BLHeli flashing tool being used in GCS. This video is without the finished GUI.

BLHeli Linker (4 min 40 sec)

Auto takeoff and landing as well as return to base function:
Revo Nano Auto takeoff - RTB land (1 min 48 sec)

Without sounding trying to sound snide, will we actually be able to buy it? Or is it going to be like the revo, which was rarely to never in stock on the open pilot store.

Before you protest my position, there were actually people marking used revos up in the classifieds here at one point, because you couldn't find one anywhere.

Fantastic!!

And hell, by everything I can find it'll be the only Revo of any kind that mortals can actually buy.
