Hey guys ... I was fortunate enough to order this here in the USA and it took 3 weeks to arrive from Hong Kong. I highly recommend paying the additional $9 or so to get it quicker. I clicked the free s&h option and it was torture waiting for it. As for the plane itself, yes I can confirm it doesn't have flaps or flap cutouts. I believe it wouldn't need them even with a heavy FPV setup. Also unlike it's bigger brother the fuselage is EPP .. very very strong. The wingspar is aluminum and not carbon fiber which was new to me. As for her maiden, She flies great even with a 3s 5000mah lipo. She still felt light and floaty but a bit under powered. A switch to 4s can increase power by a factor of 25% which should help. On her maiden there was very little to no trim and she tracked true and held her course. I know this plane will make an excellent moderate 3 to 5 mile range FPV platform. And with some upgrades even further. Take a look at " Aero Mondo " on youtube. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks guys.

thanks for the update, this is great, all great things about it without the sacrifice. does the tail lift up first during take-off?

Photos from the unboxing shoot.

Aluminum main spar

Lots of room for LiPos and more. Included a 30A ESC.

Strengthened with wooden rods

Dual servos pre-installed at the tail end, one for the rudder and the other for elevator

Plastic motor mount, I wonder how much vibration

Flight controller or receiver compartment with plywood base.

Hello guys,

I just received my Ranger 757-4 can you guys gimme a crash course on the plane ? maybe some tips/tricks/mods i need to know about ?

Lets see what i realized for far:

* Moving surfaces need hinges
* Wings and Horizontal/Vertical Stabilizer need laminating
* Motor needs more angle
* Larger Wheels (maybe)

Anything needs gluing ? do you guys glue the wing in one piece ?

Any more advice you can give me ?

Thanks
Best Regards

i just tape the hinges. i think the wings need to be better secured, added some velcro for support, but have not found the best solution. i am still trying to bolt those wings down, mine came missing some part.

The tail wheel needs to stay in position, so i added a little hot glue or tape to keep it in place but not restricting it from spinning.

Can you please recommend a good OSD with RTH as a failsafe when the Tx signal is lost ?

I was thinking of cyclops breeze OSD but i am not sure that supports what i want.

This my Ranger is new i want to be as safe as possible untill i work out the bugs out of the system.

Used for telemetry

I am ready to buy more hardware for my Ranger and i need opinions:

Camera
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1608742972...14a7274d5&cp=1

Signal Alarm
http://www.banggood.com/MJX-F45-RC-H...r-p-71544.html

Balance plug Splitter ( For Bec and Quanun Voltage Alarm )
http://www.banggood.com/DYX-0010-11_...-p-979384.html

Also i wanna buy 2 more Batteries

http://www.banggood.com/BlackMagic-3...-p-946803.html

or

http://www.banggood.com/ZOP-Power-11...-p-998821.html

I have a simple XLS to compare the batteries i have find. It would be nice if you can check it out and comment.

Since this hobby requires a lot of DIY i want to get some half-decent soldering irons:

http://www.banggood.com/Portable-But...p-1015142.html

http://www.banggood.com/60W-220V-Ele...-p-993252.html

I want to buy all of the above hardware this weekend if possible because i don't have time to devote to the hobby during week days so i would appreciate any assistance. Also all of the hardware come from Hong Honk or such and take 1-2 months to arrive so the sooner the get them the better and in the mean while i can test my ranger.
