I hope the 1/24 car will be robust and have spares available. I'm still looking at a car suitable for indoor racing for a club. I had high hopes for the 1/28 cars but the weak axles seems like an issue. It's hard to convince people to come on board if they worry the cars will break quickly.

If they don't start to ship all the 1/28 cars with metal axles they will be a flop. It's odd they are not available as spares since it seems to be the part most needed.

the p939 has bigger wheels than the race car and short course but both are faster. (second faster is the race car). The drift car is really great for indoors but i did have one sinohobby axle coming out as i was driving. Really hope the sinohobby are indeed good replacements. Still have not replaced the others to drive to see if there are any problems.

That doesnt look good! Are the shafts of the p929 and the other cars the same? If so you need spare shafts from the p929 available!!

i ordered the sinohobby ones as the wltoys are not yet available. but the p929 ones do fit btter as hey are longer. The bearings make the sinohobby ones barely connecting to the differential.

By mistake I end up in the right choice I guess. Here in india p929 was the only car available when I wanted to get immediately. And luckily I got a one for dirt cheaper than banggood. Now I am thinking of converting it to drift car by upgrade alloy wheels and drift tyres from banggood. What is you guys suggestion? Will it perform well?

Regards

the drift car has All wheel locked drive and locked differentials, I think its not a differential just one piece that connects the wheels. I have not seen a replacement for that. I would still buy the drift its great fun. Maybe wait for the 1/24 drift or ask banggood to send the 1/28 with metal shafts as they (or wltoys) should

Axles are now available:

However a cost of $20 to upgrade a $50 car is silly, especially considering the stock car should have come with these in the first place instead of easily broken plastic axles.

I hope they will have more parts and spare body shells available, then I'll order a P929 and a K989 body for it.

so i guess the p929 is really good value for money. I have played more with the drift car though than all of my other rcs combined. really really nice indoors. with the axles and the tyre upgrades it came to $90 plus the duties around $100.
