Where can I have some Battery packs made for my Teddy?

I would like to have a couple of say 1600 Mah Nimh battery packs made up for my Teddy
(6-cell Packs of AA cells). Do you know of anybody who makes up packs to order. I really don't want to try & build them myself.
Will the Teddy work OK with these?

I don't suppose my opinion counts 'cause I'm the one who suggested these batteries but they really do work well, and you can remove about 3/4 of your lead because the batteries are so much heavier than the nicads.

I'd offer to solder the pack together for you for free but the shipping costs would really eat up any savings you'd get by not buying a prebuilt pack. Take the batteries to your local hobby shop and ask one of the young kids manning the RC counter if he'd do it for you for a few bucks.

Good luck!

We tried 6xAA Nimhs on the 7.2v Teddy and it wasn't very encouraging at all. More of a controlled glide. I would stick to either 6 Nicads (use the 1400AEs) or up the cell count to 7 AA Nimhs. Either that or replace the 7.2v motor with a 6v one if you REALLY want to use the Teddy on 6 AA Nimhs.

My Teddy came with a 6V motor, so the 6 NIMH worked fine, even in the thin air here in Colorado.

We can get you a couple of packs of 7 cell Sanyo 1600NIMH AA cells if you wish.
We have 8 cell packs on Sale for $24, but if you think 7 cells is the way to go then we could get you the 7 cell packs for $23 with quality silicone wire leads. Build time would be a few days.

Anybody else want some?

Note, however, that you'll have to modify the Teddy to fit 7 AA cells.
