I found a new unboxing video of the final version of the Minivet (sold since approximatively 15 days)

UnBoxing 2015 06 29 (9 min 16 sec)

In the final version, some minor changes and improvements:

- A full spare set of props added
- A USB to microUSB cable
-The battery connector changed a seems to be compatible with the DJI phantom
-The POI function is available
-LCD display have no blue-screen (the same I received recently)
-New VTX (the same I received recently)

I hope for my pre-release version, I will be able to have the POI by a fimrware update ....

Updating firmware

This is what the gimbal utility shows before the firmware update:

I put the firmware FWHM1405.bin onto the SD card, then powered up my Minivet. I leave it alone for at least 1 minute to update, then I powered it off.

This is what the gimbal utility shows after the firmware update:

Right now, at Settings -> Version, it shows 2015.0514.01. The firmware file is still there on the SD card (did not self-delete).

Did my gimbal firmware updated correctly?

The FWHM1405.bin is only related to the camera not the gimbal software .
When you installed it in root folder, after flashing, you have to remove it (if not it will continously try to flash it again)

For the gimbal, uou need to upload via the gimbal software the file "Gimbal_3Axis_up.bin" (included in the attached zip file)

Oh! Thanks for the correction!

Any way to tell if the camera firmware has been successfully updated?

Good news, wingsland sent to me the Firmware activating the POI function for FyreSG and mine version. Model sold (at least at BG: ) have already this firmware. Use the GSC to flash

More good news, the price drops to 600 USD including shipping

EDIT : I appreciate to be in direct contact with R&D of Winglands ... They seems to answer quick. A new Advanced instruction manual will appear soon.

I used the software to flash the attached firmware. During flashing, the FC beeps. Then a dialog box popped up stating the update was over. But the version does not change. Why?!

The same, after flashing the FC fimrware .... Only 1 satellite reception no more Blue LEDs ......;;; etc.....

I am afraid, they changed Hardware since pre-released and we are trapped

So don't flash the F/W of the FC ...

After flashing the gimbal firmware:

1. Always point 45 degrees to the left! Clear IMU does not work!
2. Can't move gimbal up/down with transmitter joystick!

I also flashed the FC firmware but it's night time here so I didn't try.

ARGH, REGRET!!!

Do you still have the Blue LED when you turn on the quad ?

EDIT : I think firmware they gave is for the final version of the minivet, not prerelease as we had .... They did some hardware change since both version... for example, the gimbal is V1.01 in the final version
