On a vertical learning curve!
Hi, thanks for the information, I think you are describing the transmitter (the part you hold).
Should you ever take the top off (20+ screws), the flight controller is in there.
Love the way it flies by the way.
Thanks

Hi PiNgOa,
Was your video taken with the stock Camera or GoPro 3? Very impressed with the footage

It was taken with the stock camera, which is basically an SJ4000-like camera

Hi there ! You'll find 2 pics of the inside of the controller attached to this post, and here's a new video

Just a bit higher with the XK Detect X380 (5 min 29 sec)

Does it have any altitude hold or loiter mode?

Yep, it has both thanks to the GPS and the barometer, both sticks return to neutral position when you let them go and the quad then hovers where it is

FC in quadcopter

Thanks Pingoa for your troubles taking the fine photos.
I didn't make myself clear, the Flight Controller is inside the quadcopter.

I have the recently discontinued wltoys v303 with the recently discontinued Zerouav ys-s4 v2 FC. Flight characteristics are similar to the XK Detect x380, the quad is virtually identical but in carbon lookalike and more durable and I have a problem with mine. The x380 seems to be influenced by the 3dr solo to my mind.

I wondered which FC replaced the ys-s4 v2. There seem to be a raft of similar controllers on the market but with differing names. I wonder is the x380 quad and FC another chinese clone, and an improvement over the v303, or a new model rebranding?

the size of X380 is same with Gopro, lots of gimbal fit for gopro, balance is key to gimbal, try to make sure about the gimbal balance except the price.

And also what kind of frame u use?

i think frame should be some reasons for choosing gimbal.
X-CAM A10-3H 3 Axis Gimbal is for Gopro series
GL-2X Two-axis CNC Brushless Gopro Gimbal
Foxtech FT-2 Brushless Gimbal for Gopro3/3+/4
try and check!

3 axis is best. I have the wltoys v303 which this quadcopter is based on and it has 100mm clearance, too low for existing 3 axis gimbals so I've gone for a 2 axis alternative.

Gopro like I would go for:

with a Xiaomi Yi also available at Banggood.

I've opted for a mobius on a Turnigy mobius gimbal for its height,
although the rclogger x1 is due in early July & looks good (but its been due since March???)

Coptercentre cs-1 is another option.

It would be interesting to know what PiNgOa's setup is? His video looks good on youtube.

Similar, looks good but solid motor cases mean weight. Maybe not a problem with the large x380 lipo.
