I can FPV :D
Cool

Mini Volantex Ranger 1380 mm

Anyone seen this on BG lately?

http://www.banggood.com/Volantex-Ran...-p-977615.html

I asked the Volantex on their site (by email) if it's legit as it doesn't seem to appear on their site.

Seems perfect for mid range FPV and a great alternative to the Bixler

Ranger Mini looks like a winner

As a big fan of the Volantex Ranger 2000mm, this one looks like a winner. Perfect size to place in your auto without breaking it down. I hope the fuse is PVC like it's big brother. It does look that way in the pics. I pre-ordered from BG. Can't wait. Seems like we're in the "Mini" phase of all the major models.

Hey guys, I just received mine, looks like it isn't PVC like it's elder brother, looks like EPO or EPP to me.

Hey guys ... I was fortunate enough to order this here in the USA and it took 3 weeks to arrive from Hong Kong. I highly recommend paying the additional $9 or so to get it quicker. I clicked the free s&h option and it was torture waiting for it. As for the plane itself, yes I can confirm it doesn't have flaps or flap cutouts. I believe it wouldn't need them even with a heavy FPV setup. Also unlike it's bigger brother the fuselage is EPP .. very very strong. The wingspar is aluminum and not carbon fiber which was new to me. As for her maiden, She flies great even with a 3s 5000mah lipo. She still felt light and floaty but a bit under powered. A switch to 4s can increase power by a factor of 25% which should help. On her maiden there was very little to no trim and she tracked true and held her course. I know this plane will make an excellent moderate 3 to 5 mile range FPV platform. And with some upgrades even further. Take a look at " Aero Mondo " on youtube. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks guys.

I received my mini ranger yesterday, and after reading all about the bad thrust angle I decided to design an improved motor mount. This one increases the thrust angle from 3 degrees to 7, and moves the motor center up far enough to be able to swing a 10 inch prop. It will accept a 35 series motor as well. Pm me if you need one. I can knock them out pretty fast.
