Are there any instructions/details on the new features?

To set the fan operation:
Settings >Misc Settings>Fan
Options are: On, 104F/40C, 113F/45C, 122F/50C
ON = Fan always on
Specific temps = Fan comes on when specified temp reached.

To set the Parallel charge operation:
Settings>Misc Settings>Parallel Option
Options are: On, Off
On = Number of packs can be specified via Charge Amps
Off = Single pack specification only

As more and more users are using Lithium based Battery Packs (mostly lifepo) as a power source for field charging with their Revolectrix chargers i want do ask if there will be an option implemented for such packs (in the PSU menue) in a future firmware update??

Thanks for your suggestion. I will add it as an improvement item in the next firmware update. Not as a separate option but fill in the voltage range from 14.40V to 24.00V that was not available in existing firmware.

In version 2.29, parallel charging options were added to the firmware. When charging 1S packs, I can select the charge rate, and number of packs, but the charge rate does not increase in proportion to the number of packs selected. This seems to work fine when charging 3S packs. Is this option enabled for 1S charging?

When charging 1s packs without a balance connector, the charge rate is limited to 2 Amps. To go above this limit, a balance connection must be tapped from the battery packs to the charger balance pins.

I'm charging 200mAh 1S packs for an Inductrix. I will charge up to 6 at a time, total current of 1.2 A. I can dial that in manually. However, when I select 200mA x 6 batteries, the charge current remains at 200mA. See photos below, I tried to charge 4 packs in parallel, the resulting output was around 200mA.

I see what you mean. Indeed it's a firmware bug. We will fix it in the next firmware release.

When charging NiMH batteries with the GT500 is there a way to change the delta cutoff? I would like to change it to like 3mv or 4mv. I can do this with powerlab 8.

Another question is the GT500 limits me to 20 amps regenerative discharge for NiMH batteries, but the specs of gt500 call for a 25 amp discharge.

Also the powerlab 8 limits me to 20 amps for NiMH even though it is speced at 40 amps.

Thanks for any input into this.

Go to Advanced Settings, Fallback Volts. You can select from 1 to 25 mv.

I have no answers for your other questions.

Where did you find this - "the specs of gt500 call for a 25 amp discharge"? It could be a printing mistake.

Maybe you're referring to the input side, the current at input wires flowing back to the supply pack in regenerative mode. At output side, the current is limited to 20Amps, whether charge or regenerative discharge.

I have no answers for your last question either. I'll see if Tim or Nathan from FMA can answer that.

I hope I did not miss this in the discussion.

When the Balance Bars are completely Black, does this mean the cell is balanced and not being charged or does it mean it is being charged?
