Info/Help needed on Promax cobalt or equivalent?

Post this on the sail planes and another area, only 1 response on the above power system.

Apology to the Administrator as I'm a bit desperate for the answer.

I bought a Promax cobalt 600 for my Mytus glider. Its a 6 turn model #2006. Inline GB of 2.7, I have folder for 11X7, 14.5 X 9.5, and 12X7.Batt can go from 8-10 cells if needs be. I will use it with my Great Planes C50 esc. Is this esc OK for cobalt use?

Do I need to add additional noise suppresor to the motor other than the schottkys which are required by the esc?

What kind of power, pit fall, fun with the above setup. PLease share your experience and advise as this is my first cobalt investment.

Maintenance ,etc.

I will use 4 servo, any problem foresee??

Thanks, Magna

Hi Magna,

The GP C-50 ESC is fine to use in your application.

Usually with the Cobalt motors, I do not add any capacitors.

The specs are not listed on the MPI site yet for the 2006 so I can only suggest keepin the current limited properly with your prop and cell selection.

Four servos will work fine with the C-50 ESC.

Hi Greg

I got the sheet somewhere in my luggage. But I saw some posting from Greg Kamysz of Maxx of this #2006

PMX 2006
Kv = 1888
Rm = 0.040 Ohm
Io = 4.0A (@ 9V)

Does this help in some way? I remember that it should not go beyond 10 cells.

Thanks, Magna.
