FIRST FLIGHT on TM ...... In dark, Couldn't wait till Morning

Well I finally got it built!!! Got done at about 6:30 PM Pacific time. It was dark, really dark, but I have zero patience...... so open went the garage door and up the TM went into the night sky. I was very impressed how it flew. After having the Duskstick for my first plane I wasn't sure how I would like it, but it really does fly well. I was impressed the most by the way it looks in the air. I must say there is something really neat about having a biplane cruise past at 5 mph, 4 ft off the floor , in the dark.

Now I understand what all the fuss about the TM is about.

Hi Scomis. Lotsa times these types of first flights do not end as well, congrats and welcome to the Tiger Moth Squadron where I'm in charge and, in charge of holding some record for motor abuse! !! but you sure will be entertained by this plane, it is the looks for sure and the directional tracking for a $54 price is hard to beat. Hide your credit card now, before it's too late because there are more IPS bipes coming. Best Regards

Got a couple of nice big street lights out front and that TM yellow really comes alive under em'. Hopefully the weather will cooperate tomorrow, so I can get a good long flight in.

I got a couple of 7X300 NiMH packs from Doug when I bought my Duskstick, so I'm using those.

Boy... that was really exciting!!!!!

Whats the largest number of TM that have flown together ( in the air at the same time )

Aha! a potential challenge here!

We had 3 up several times today in Sacramento!

Another club member was so hooked he left the field to go buy one!

Way to go Scott! I must have given up on the wind too soon... took a Modified short wing Lite Stik over to the church site.. set it on the ground and the wind blew it upside down twice so I figured the "flight gods" were trying to tell me something so I gave up! But then you up north get better weather than we do
I still think we need an Oregon Squadron could put a Duck & a Beaver facing off on the Fuse...

Do you have to have a TM to be part of the Oregon Squad, (Go Ducks!) All I have is A BUD and two polyhedraled stikkies ...

Number of TM's flying at the same time

We might have the record so far on the number of TM's flying at once. I fly with a group of guys on Friday nites in a gym and last Friday we had 6 flying at the same time. We tried to do formation flying but it is real hard trying to remember which is yours. Have fun.
