Heinkel He-112 Reno Racer variant, for all Speed Freaks!

Have fun testing!
If only our reflexes were as good as hers!

This is going to be interesting, and I mean that in the most positive way.

Low & Slow Challenge: Final Results

After Jan did a thorough review of our rules and watched all evidence, repeatedly!
He named the winners!

Here his rulings:
The lack of specifications in your set of rules leaves me, “Jan the Impartial Judge” no other choice as to declare you all winners!
Some by sheer luck! Others by proficiency! Some by the amount of drive to just have fun! (And yes, you get also mentioned he said, looking at me.) Some even win because they were clever, for once!

There will be no pleas! It is 11:00am and I am completely sober!

Nice work, to all involved,
Jan

Thank you, Jan, for finding a good solution to this conundrum!
And congratulations to all participants and winners.

Wouldn’t I know first, that I've grown old and slow!

So, see for your-self's!
The first 30 seconds looked “Great” to me! Right?

Awkward Reality Check (0 min 51 sec)

Have fun & congratulations to all winners!

After Wayne wrote that, I thought "ah ha - a new challenge". Surely I can do that well. Surely!
Nice flight, Wayne, right up to the point when it got a little exciting.

Reno Racer He 112 at Wash (1 min 12 sec)

And so it begins .......................

Flying tip - it's much easier at 25% throttle than wide open.
Plus, I claim bonus points for the best landing!
How's that for throttle management, Herman?

i wanted to let you guy know that you guys did an amazingly tremendous fantastic job creating the Beechcraft Staggerwing TEX v4.0 model and the Beech 18 Float Plane Pirate Cove Edition. I have been having a blast flying them, they are so good i haven't had the want to edit anything about them. They are perfect the way they are.

F-100 "Super Sabre"

First of the Century Series fighters, the F-100 is an iconic jet that had escaped Phoenix until now.
Not as fast as Kathi's He-112 - let's just call it "comfortably fast".
So perhaps will be a bit easier for we old folks to handle.

Tour:
F 100 Tour (0 min 33 sec)

Flight:
F 100 Flight (1 min 35 sec)

Unzip and install the pkg file and you'll find "F-100 Super Sabre" in the scale list.
Installation instructions are here.

It's a fun one! rick

OH ya! The hun! I just recently read 'Hunter Killers' about the early days of the wild weasels in Vietnam. I had never really known much about the f-100s. As a kid it was all f-14s 15s 16s and 18s and you'd hear about f-4s and a-4s from vietnam and f86s in Korea. Those were some crazy stories of the early days of wild weaseling in the two seater f100s. I know it was quickly replaced but still such a cool aircraft and pretty amazing what they did with it in those times! I am going to enjoy this model Rick, you've done it again!

Those Wild Weasels are crazy!
In addition to our two RF-4C recce squadrons, we had a squadron of F-4 Weasels at Zweibrucken.
Don't know why I never got a ride with one of them - it would have been "wild" indeed!
Why is it that I get all these good ideas a few decades too late??

Enjoy, rick

The Collings Foundation's F-100F and Colonel George "Bud" Day Celebration and Flight. (6 min 24 sec)

Here's a cool video with an f100f and a great pilot who was shot down back in 1965 doing those crazy missions I read about! There is also an f4 that flies with the f100 towards the end for you Rick!
