You are welcome!

It is fun to make them, but it means a lot more when they get downloaded.

I cannot help but have a look every now and then to see how many downloads each of mine have had.

Also, I know for a fact that Rick likes the "banter" on his thread and greatly appreciates the comments for each model he makes.

So guys, if you download the models, a comment would be greatly appreciated and keep us both motivated! Cheers.

Besides, the Great Planes had been discontinued and those were the last in stock. I can justify having two of each (two Great Planes Fokker D1s too) as NIB they are actually going up in value., not that I am currently interested in selling

Also, with a spare or two in the stash, they are not so precious so more likely to get used.
Now that's a rational that we all can use - they're investments!

Why didn't I think of that?? rick

You and Naga make me feel like a slacker!

My entire kit is eight UMX models plus a FliteTest Tiny Trainer.
UMX: Timber, J3 Cub, Pitts S1-S, Yak-54, F4-U, T-28, Champ and Radian.
And not that it matters, but my current favorites are the Timber and Radian.

Nine total. I'm embarrassed. rick

Embarrassed?

I seem to be getting over my collectors bug (which is what it was) and now collect Rick's Phoenix models instead.

And with over three hundred Phoenix models with no doubt thousands of downloads in total I think there is nothing to be embarrassed about.

If justifying your real models as investments to your Mrs works, do go for it!

I thought you were planning on buying a larger model Rick? I don't see one in the list.

Self justification is a strange thing; I seem to have convinced myself of all sorts of nonsense over the years. Now I just don't give a monkey's!

I'm busted!

You're right - sometimes I think I'd like a bigger Corsair (or Spit, or Timber-X, or ....... ).
But it bothers me that I don't fly the ones I already have all that much.
And I'd need to find a bigger flying site and figure out storage. Woe is me!

None of that, of course, is an issue with Phoenix models. So I putter on.

Cheers! rick

Truth is, by now, Rick and Nagas have produced SO many beautiful and great flying models, that Horizon Hobby and others are WAY behind the curve and are struggling to keep up with 'em! Maybe that's why HH was able to obtain several of their competitors...Rick and Nagas just made them obsolete!

Perhaps, or it could be that the excessive heat we're all "enjoying" has fried your mind!

Stay cool my friend, rick

What mind? RC flying fried mine some years ago.

Of all the things I've lost during my life, I miss my mind the most!

Avanti S EDF

Something to get us through the dog days of summer - a sizzling hot jet!

A lot of these jet look similar to me, but the Freewing folks seem to have done this one right.
100 mph+ in level flight coupled with outstanding low speed stability. Insane.
I can see why flydynamics requested this model - its very, very nice.

Fun to do high speed passes and listen to the doppler shift.
And the landings are sweet as well - touches down in a nice nose high attitude.

360 degree tour:
Avanti S in Builder (0 min 22 sec)

Flight demo:
Avanti S in PhoenixRC (1 min 50 sec)

Unzip and install the pkg file and you'll find "Avanti S EDF" in the performance list.
Installation instructions: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zj2o7vx9b0...0File.pdf?dl=0

Have fun, rick
