Three P-38's

Been working a while on three versions of the P-38
Honey Bunny in polished aluminum paint.
SCAT 3 in camo with campaign stripes.
Recce in blue camo.

NOTE: These models are updated in post #105.

F7F Tigercat on-line at Phoenix

After a nearly five month journey my Marine version of the F7F is now downloadable from the Phoenix site at http://www.phoenix-sim.com/downloads.asp.
It's currently the first model in the Models section and is titled "*User-made F7F Tigercat, Scale airplane - created by Zamuda & Brault".

The model can also be downloaded while in the PhoenixRC simulator.

Pretty cool moment for me, as I have several others in the pipeline that will eventually show up in Phoenix.
The P-38's in the post above should be next, followed by a Catalina, Beech Staggerwing, Pilatus PC-6, UglyStik and a few surprises.

Enjoy, rick p

Zamuda is me.
Brault is Jacques Brault, who was kind enough to let me use his F7F 3D model in lieu of my clunky one.

Thanks for asking, rick p

Hi Rick

Thanks for creating and sharing this model.

I downloaded it last week and there were no errors. However in Phoenix R/C, when I go to Model -> Change -> Airplanes I do not see it listed anywhere.

I have checked the System -> Downloads, and this model is shown as installed.

Is this a known issue with this release?

Regards

Acrow

Acrow,

Should be shown under Model.Change.Airplanes.Scale as "F7F Marines".
If you don't see it there, check Model.Change.Testing.Airplanes.Scale for "F7F Marines".

On my system believe it was in the Airplanes area when I tested the download, but now seems to be showing up under Testing.
Please let me know if you find it.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Yes, I do have the F7F Marines. I thought that one was a separate model as it had a different name.

You should be consistent with your descriptions. It is listed on the Phoenix News Download site as "Grumman F7F Tigercat". That is how you described it in this thread, yet you have given the model a different name when installed in Phoenix. I hope you can update it.

Good catch, Acrow.
Wasn't sure how it would show up in the Phoenix download and when installed.
Now that I know, I'll send an updated file to Phoenix with a consistent name.

Thanks, rick p

I use Blender for 3D with good results exporting OBJ files to Phoenix Builder.
You might send a reminder email the the Phoenix support folks.
