SparrowHawk R - scale 1:3
Hello,
We're planning to build a model of glider for GPS-TRiangle and similar competition. Currently the choice was made on Sparrowhawk R in 1:3 scale, wingspan of 4,5m with winglets or 5m without them. Model will be built in full composite technology. We would like to know your opinion about this project. Homepage of manufacturer - > http://windward-performance.com/sparrowhawk-r/ |

Excited about this one.
Did you pick the Sparrow Hawk over the Duck Hawk because of the aspect ratio. Been close to them both and the Duck Hawk has a very skinny wing. Regards Dean |

thank you for quick reply. We chose SparrowHawk R, because it gives option of changing the ends of wing - with removable tips and winglets. Regards Christopher |

Here is a preview of rendered images made by our chief designer - also Christopher, which shows our capabilities and our serious attitude towards this subject.

Keep in mind the Sparrow Hawk has a fixed gear. The Duck Hawk is retractable.
Greg Cole the designer has flown RC gliders and has flown RC cross country. I'm sure he would be excited to know about your project. Regards Dean |
