Hello,

The first aerial battle of the small biplanes took place last weekend.

What fun we had!

The wounded aircraft have been repaired, the time for revenge is approaching.

Next fight next weekend.

Below the video.

Best regards

Philippe

Hello guys, I just found this thread...
Has been a while since I found the plans of this model and waiting to build a couple of them!
Since I understood this seem to be a very slow and agile model.
I think it will be the perfect platform where to install my “FPV Combat” system that let simulate an FPV dogfight with OSD integration.

FPV Combat - part 1 (2 min 2 sec)

Do you think it is the right model for this purpose?
Does anyone tested it in FPV?

Which is the motor, prop and battery combination that you would suggest today?

A 40 - 50g motor with 1000 to 1200 kV, 8x4 prop or similar, 3s 1000mAh Lipo. It should be great for fpv combat, watch this:

Which do you think is better between these two options?

1100kv

1400kv

Planning to use 3s...

I would use the 1400kV version if you want to fly streamer combat. You would need full power only in climbs, remember these planes are not built for high speed flying. Without streamer, the 1100kV should be strong enough. But it is never wrong to have some extra power...

I will use it for FPV Combat (did you checked the video that I shared? That’s a project I’m working on...)
Which prop would you suggest for each motor?
I remember for combat profile I was using approx 1400/1500kv and 7” prop but it was definitely too fast (as I remember) for an Otto!

8x4 should be the right size.
