March 7, 2015 Club Fly-In

We had fine flying conditions at the Larry Sanders Memorial Airfield today. While the winds were shifting frequently, they were never above 6 or 7 mph. And occasionally we even had winds straight down the runway (a rarity at this field). Blue skies and moderate temperatures made this a nice late winter day.

10 members and 5 guests enjoyed the club facilities today including Art, Jack, Pat, Tom (and Richard), Gary, Ruben (and Sylvia, Aali, Mya and JuJu), Lee, Ross, Chris and Marc.

Pat's Sbach

Pat had a maiden today with his Pilot Aircraft Sbach powered with a DLE-35. It's a fine looking and high quality plane.

Art handled test pilot duties on the first take-off and landing with Pat taking the sticks once airborne. There was a hardware failure on the second flight but it will be an easy fix for Pat.

As always, good job Marc! Selfless to the end, maybe you can show me how to run that camera and I can get some of you and your 3DHS Edge next weekend. Tomorrow we are tossing gliders off the cliff at overlook. Should have a big box next Friday. The motor came in today.
