Would the Alula - Trek glider be suitable to someone who has about 200 hours of electric powered RC plane flight time- but only about an hour of slope soaring experience on the plane in the photo below?
This design is a twice size Frog Wren at 48 inch wingspan with aileron and elevator control. I managed to fly that OK although landings were a bit hairy I must admit. |

I somehow doubt it would be any harder than flying the Wren pictured in my post above - but just wanted some conformation. I went ahead and ordered one anyway - but now waiting on servos to arrive so I can finish putting it together. |

My old Alula evo is looking worse for wear, I’m just about to get a trek and was wondering if it’s worth doing the following:
CF leading edges using CF tissue and Eze Kote. Foam armour or Modge Podge hard shell on the wing tips. I broke the nose off my evo, glued the nose back on and added some CF tissue around the wing route/nose join area. I was thinking of adding some CF to prevent braking the nose off the new one. |
