BlueCor/Fanfold Sorta Grumman Goose Design and Build


This is a Design as ya go thing .. i am constantly making changes to my plans as i go ..

Wingspan will be 34.8 inches Undercambered wing ..

Power .. i am going to try 2 GWS IPS DX-A drives with 3 blade 9x7 props

Batteries will be my standard 1200 Mah etec Li-polys

Controls will be Rudder/ Elevator

this is going to move along kinda slow sometimes as i am also doing a how to on a fanfold Corsair ..

Now the Build Pics .. i have the fuselage together and the formers in and the hull of the plane started.. i did all this lastnight ..

Thanks Will .. one of the builds might .. i figure i will have to make 3-4 of these to get it all down right .. i have a few schemes in mind .. My favorite is Cutters Goose From Tales Of The Gold Monkey.. i found the schemes at drawdecal.com the address is on the pics ..

Bryan i didnt intend to go with the skinny nose thats just how she came together on the first try .. the plans have already been revised for the broad nose .. Thanks for the inspiration on this Bryan ..

no problem. I was going for the SEA DUCK off the cartoon TAIL SPIN but, I could non find a 3-view or even a good pic so I went with the goose.

How will you waterproof it?

i will use my standard Econocote or ultracote covering .. looks sharp and is instantly waterproof .. reciever , esc , and battery will be in sealed ziploc bags with silicone on the holes out for the wires ..

i suggest getting it on tape or DVD bryan and input it into your paint program them create some 3 views .. ..

May be it could help you : I have made succeful fly from ground and water with my Foamies : a Supermarine Sea Otter.

I am now working a some web pages to describe the realisation :
http://perso.club-internet.fr/eric.payan/seaotter/ For the moment it's only in french, in the next weeks I would try to realise an english version.

Here is an example of how ya can screw up if ya let your self get off guard

i messed up the stepping of the hull .. i have corrected this on the plans also .. lots of minor details can really screw ya up ..
