They are the lumenier LED chinese knockoffs. Close together.
A piece of pmma plastic is used to diffuse the light.

Coming together now.. Bought KISS esc's, very small
The power distribution is very tight using bent servo pins instead of wires.

ESC problems...

So, after installing the lovely KISS 12a esc I stil have some issues.

I used 12a v1.1 KISS ESC. Oneschot enabled.
3S Lipo, Naze32, 2203 Sunnysky, 5x3 props.

On low throttle, the motors stutter a lot. I can fly, but sometimes one motor stops a very short time and I crash. Also, Even this build is lighter than previous versions, now I have a hover throttle of ~70% at the end of the battery.. Does the ecs lower throttle when voltage is low?
I experimented with naze32 looptime, what should be used? It affects the stutter behavior but does not solve it completely.

I did not connect signal ground wire. But I don't see how it can make a difference because when I'd connect it to the naze32 signal ground, this is also directly connected to battery ground.

The power distribution uses servo pins and phase wires are 18 awg.

What could solve my problems?

You should use the ground wire from the escs. However it is more than likely that you have some sort of timing issue. Usually raising the timing works.

Hi Dcame,

So when I'd connect the signal ground wire from the esc to the FC's ground, can I just directly solder the two pads together on the KISS? Like this:

Because the ground of FC is also connected to battery ground.

By raising the timing, you mean not using oneshot and using normal pwm? Or raising looptime?

motor stutter

Okay I connected the signal ground wire to the naze and the stutter problem seems to be gone.

But I still have the dreaded pitch-up problem in acro The motor mix and PID controller # seem to influence the behavior. I've done a lot of pid tuning this did not resolve the issue. Now I'm flying stock Quad X mix setting on PID1 and the problem looks gone, but it is sub-optimal.

Crashed yesterday during FPV flying which broke an arm. And a stutter problem on one of the motors Is this caused by a faulty ESC or motor?

Motor/esc stutter (0 min 5 sec)

Good news I installed UV cable sleeves which look pretty cool and protect motor wires.

EDIT: apparently I have the FAKE sunnysky 2204 motors from Banggood Great video:
Fake SunnySky motors (28 min 42 sec)

Carbon frame, t motor, KISS ESC, flies like a dream.

Darkside 180mm // 5x4" props // 3S // KISS 12A // Naze32 // T-motor 2204 2300kv (1 min 38 sec)

Upcoming: stonger arms, more tilt and led strip afterburner!

LED strip, custom animations!

Changed a lot since last post. SLS'ed the arms, made a stronger design too. And awesome ledstrip. link.

I changed some code in the Cleanflight code to make my own animations (under construction).
