Thanks for editing and posting, Tim.
That's the camera on the new iPad?
I'm no videographer but that looks pretty good to me!

I do like the sound ... less whistle, more whump

Nice circuits, Brent

If the pilot keeps practicing, he’ll pick this DS thing up pretty quick.

Before and after the repair

It appears that I can build them a lot better than I can fix them but at least this one will fly again soon.

Fixing is HARD! I'd much rather start from scratch. Which is why I rarely buy commercially sold planes. Except foamies.

Your words echo those of Kev Bennett.
“I’d rather start again ...”
Not one to shy away from a challenge and knowing what it takes to “start again”, I thought I’d give it a shot.
Kev is right.
Even using the moulds to assist didn’t prevent some unforeseen “negative enhancements”.
If nothing else I want to see how, or if, the performance and handling has changed.
Next time it flies will be at Weldon.

Yep.
I'll leave the mic open for Brent to elaborate.

Yep... as Asto would say “she sucked me down”... the nasty hand of the hill reached up and swatted me like a bug. Went in at about 180mph. One of the best DS planes I have ever flown, so I’m overjoyed knowing it will fly again, thanks to Dave. A real labour of love!
