WOW! It's crazy how prices on certain things are across the globe.

Great builds and subscribing!
Currently building and flying the prop/slot F-22's like the other poster.
These look just as easy to build and swap from edf to prop and back.
The downward wing droop kinda reminds me of Firefox.

Maidened the Pusher today, was a little twitchy, but so was the EDF, maybe I have too much throw on the elevons

Flew a little livlier than the edf, more power than it needs wit a Hobby King D2826-6 2200kv Outrunner Motor and 7 x 4 prop

Got disorientated and put it in on its nose, its repairable and I think I might make the nose a little longer to make it a little easier to balance with maybe a smaller battery

Spent a little time this evening on the repair, lengthened the nos by about 55mm

Will change the plans (again) and make the nose longer

I fear I am going to have problems with balance on the Stealth though

Anyone like to have a go at the C of G with the lengthened nose ?

The 2 little circles are where it was with the shorter nose and it was pretty close ... , have made it 70 mm longer

I just got the plans all taped together. Should I modify them for the extra length?

As an EDF it will balance OK, in fact its just the opposite really, battery needs to go further back but as a pusher the battery needs to go further forward

SO ... I would reomend ..

If you are going to make it as a EDF .. leave it alone

If you are going to make it as a pusher .. make it longer

If you are undecided .. make it longer

I will post the modified plans when they are ready

I have just done some tests ringo42 and the results have astounded me

By adding 70 mm to the nose (lengthening the nose by just 70 mm) it has taken the C of G 105 mm further forward making it even worse to balance

I just can't understand it and not sure what to advise ... or what to do ??

I used the same canard CG calculator on all 3 examples ... the first one being the original one and that seems to be the best place for the C of G after flying both EDF and Pusher

Please can someone explain

Just got back into town today and seen your new info. Only thing i can think of with the pusher is the thrust angle. It looks like you are parallel with the fuse, maybe put original nose back on and add some up angle shim to the motor mount, this should make the nose go down. Reserved for personal build after i'm done with a few of my buddies builds

Tony:

Which CG calculator are you using? Is this shape considered a canard? I am confused, as you said you used a canard CG calulator...

Yes I did Dave, it was recommended that I use it (I think) and it worked OK so I thought I would use it again .. http://adamone.rchomepage.com/cg_canard.htm

I haven't found anything else that works right, I have the Flying Wing one but I can't seem to make it work properly with this shape wing http://wingcgcalc.bruder.com.br/en_US/?

Can you recommend anything else that would be better ?
