Gents, is there a consensus on the best overall battery- motor/prop combo for the Skyray MK4.

Hmmmm this depends on a lot of things
What's your flying skill level?
How fast do you want to go?
What sound you like to hear/it to make?

I'll assume that your an intermediate pilot and you want to have a plane that wants to have a bit of speed but still cruises nicely at half throttle.....
Battery-2200 3s
Esc- 40amp
Motor- 1200 to 1400kv
Prop-8x6 to 7x5
Now I've been quite conservative with the props I'm running a 10x5 on a 3536 1450kv motor in a different plane of course.
That do you guys think?

I tend to go with a faster motor and smaller prop

1800 to 2200 / 3s battery
Motor: Turnigy D2826-6 2200kv Outrunner
ESC: TURNIGY Plush 40amp Speed Controller
6 x4 or 7 x 4 prop

I concur with Lockey! The 2826 2200kv is a good choice for this plane. 2200 mah 3s balances well and at low altitude the 6x4, although I normally run a 7x6 here at the ranch!

+1 on the 2826 with a 2200 3s with a 6x4. Worked perfectly for me on an 85% scaled sky ray.

Found another interesting Jet .. the Russian T-50 PAK FA ... and it has thrust 3 dimensional vectoring

Thought I would run "pak ta" through google translate to see what it means in English .. and guess what .. it means " pak ta" ... that was very helpful

Something like trying to translate "F22" from English to Russian, it is not likely to work that way either. ;0)

My take on the BAE Hawk. Found plans elsewhere on rcgroups as I had challenges converting Lockey's more rounded plans. Already crumpled the nose so hoping it flies better next time!

Hmmmmm.....no video, must have fallen off the bench and crumpled the nose! Cause without video, there is just no proof that it flew And don't worry, I'd tell Lockey the same thing.
