First flight with my Brushless zagi....WOW

Unbelievable. That was the first thing that came out of my mouth right after the laughing stopped . I am refering to my new Zagi XS woth the following set-up: Mega 16/15/3, Jeti 30 esc, and 3s2p Kokam 1500's. You talk about a change from what I usually fly. Anyway, I have been messing with a Clic EPP w/Johnson250 motor and a 4x4 prop. Nice and super fast, Also a stock Projeti with a S400, jeti 20 esc, and 8 cell NiMh 1100mah. I thought it was fast, Well think again, Anyway, I just wanted to let anyone interested/listening know I am now on the brushless wagon.

Thanks
Will

And thanks you Talon58 !!!

How long are your flights with the 1500 mAH Lipo's? Do you think the 3s 2100-2600 mAH Lipo's would add too much weight for a wing? If not, wouldn't they add much more flying time?

I just put a MP-Jet into my Zagi 400 and used a Thunderpower 2100 and WOW is all I can say. The combo has changed the CG so the wing was a little unstable but with this much power who cares. Multiple huge loops and even more fun really tight fast loops. All I need is to find the right prop and get the CG moved back up front and this will be a fun wing.

The XS on a brushless is a totally different\awesome plane. It brought back the elevated heartbeat when I fly. My first words were "Holy crud" followed by "This is flippin unreal!" Well maybe not my exact words but this is primetime. Get two of them running flat out in a pylon type oval and its a beautiful sight.

I put a freshly charged pack in last night of the 3s2p kokam 1500's and launched the zagi. It was just sick, You have to love that power. I played around for a while then landed. I did this 4 times and then switched packs. It was not running down or anything I just didn't want to run the packs down to low. After I got back home I went to put them on the lipo charger to top them off. It would not charge them. I checked the packs with a voltmeter. and get this:

the first pack was still 11.18v and 11.16v's
The second pack I only ran three times. It was reading 11.48v and 11.46v's

I did not even run them low enough for my charger to want to charge them back up.

I am going out again and watch the clock and see how long I can get for the packs 5th flight.

Lipo's are COOL

Graupner 4.9 x 4.9. I went back out again today and they did not last very long. I went to charge them and one pack shows and error on the Apache charger. I will just have to pick up a Triton on Monday. Ohh well.

See this is what happens when I am in school. Laine doesn't have me to bug so he brings up very old threads.

Ah. I thought you were still home. N/M. Boredom is a GOOD thing in a combat zone.
