Zuul Superbeast Edition

The Zuul Superbeast Edition is a mini quad designed to cradle and protect a GoPro camera while capturing vibration-free video. The versatile frame system enables multiple build layouts and quick repairs.

Clean Section
The “clean” section’s vibration dampeners are protected during a crash with a hyperextension stopper. Cutouts on the underside of baseplate allow for easy access to replace bobbins in the field.

GoPro Cage
A spacious cage allows for the use of a wedge to tilt the camera up during fast forward flight. The entire camera cage is removable and upgradable.

Foldable
All of the arms on the Zuul can be folded in for compact transport. The folding arms also collapse during a crash to prevent damage to the frame. Don’t want the arms to fold? No problem, there is a fixed position hole for that!

Additional Features
  • Firewall plate to keep the battery from impacting the flight controller. Firewall is not compatible with larger flight controllers with 45x45mm mounting.
  • SMA extension mounting holes in top plate
  • Small cutout in arms for mounting LEDs under the arms and running the wires up to the topsides of arms
  • Battery strap cutouts on belly, rear of clean section and top plate
  • Mounting holes and cutout on base for PDBs with 30.5x30.5mm hole spacing

Recommended Setup
  • 2204-2208 size motors with M3 16x19mm mounting pattern
  • 12-18A ESCs
  • 5-6” props
  • 3-4S power, 1300-2200mAh capacity batteries
  • Mini CCD camera with tilt bracket
  • Hovership Mini Quad Landing gear to mount larger batteries on belly

Includes
  • Carbon fiber frame
  • 3D printed ABS plastic 15 GoPro tilt wedge
  • Hardware kit
  • M3x6mm motor screws
  • Stickers!

Specifications
  • Weight: 198g (including motor screws)
  • Wheelbase: 285mm (diagonal motor to motor)
  • Material: 3K weave carbon fiber. 3mm thick arms and upper cage, 1.5mm for all other parts.
  • Clean Section Clearance for ESCs: 10mm

Zuul Racehound Edition

The Zuul Racehound Edition is a stripped down version of the Superbeast mini quad frame. Using the same base and top plates, we removed the clean section and GoPro cage. The versatile frame system enables multiple build layouts and quick repairs.

NOW AVAILABLE in 265 and 285 sizes.

Spaced Out
The base plates are spaced apart 10mm for mounting the ESCs inside the body. The wider body of the Zuul frame allows for more room to mount components.

  • CCD camera mounting plate
  • SMA extension mounting holes in top plate
  • Small cutout in arms for mounting LEDs under the arms and running the wires up to the topsides of arms
  • Battery strap cutouts on belly, rear of base section and top plate
  • Mounting holes and cutout on base for PDBs with 30.5x30.5mm hole spacing

Recommended Setup
  • 2204 size motors with M3 16x19mm mounting pattern
  • 12A ESCs
  • 5” props for 265 edition, 5-6" props for 285 edition
  • 3-4S power, 1300-1800mAh capacity batteries
  • CCD board camera
  • Mobius or similar camera

Includes
  • Carbon fiber frame
  • 3D printed ABS plastic base spacers
  • Hardware kit
  • M3x6mm motor screws
  • Stickers!

Specifications

So how many people ordered this frame? What builds are people planning?

I'll be running Cobra 2208's with RG 30 amps.

Doing a dry run on my FPV gear to see how the OSD remote wires in. Had to cut the rca type plugs off.

Wouldn't the baby BO330 be the... blackout?

At any rate, nice ZUUL. Specs? Why 5" props?

the SuperBeast is quite clearly an 'homage' to the Blackout330 but in the format of a Mini.

5x4 bullnose is my preference for extreme proximity vs. 6".
Cobra 2204/1960kv will run both.
Kiss18a, OneShot, CleanFlight, Naze, MinimOSD/KVRteam / etc..

Interesting perspective. So is any frame that's designed to hold a gopro an "homage" to the BO 330?
