Quanum Vector
Does anyone know of a source for the Quanum Vector? I've run across some posts about #D printer coppies but, I don't have a #D printer.

When i discover new sensors it pop up something and saying "All telemetry slots full"
[EXIT] I press exit and nothing happens. I have to power cycle the radio. I am getting 4 ID with the gps name on it. Nothing is showing the cordinates. At the vectors on screen menu i have set up telemetry to "yes". I ve seen somewhere that is not just an option of yes or no but is "taranis", "open telemetry". What am i doing wrong? |

The taranis has a work-around for 3rd party devices (like the vector) with this problem. On the telemetry page, check "Ignore Instances". |

Google earth accepts many types of GPS coordinates, you just need to use the right format to let it know if you're using DMS or decimal values.
I'm not sure which you get using vector coordinates on a Taranis, but this page will show you the format choices (click to open the sub-section based on the device you're using). https://support.google.com/earth/answer/148068?hl=en You can change the format Google Earth uses to display coordinates under Tools->Options->Show Lat/Long |

I have just found the symbol ° and copied it to my phone notes. It works fine if i type it as the taranis displays with that symbol. But what you have just teach to me is very usefull too. It was very easy to find the "change format page" at the google earth app as you mention. In case i dont have the symbol for any reason at the field. Mainly you and Sudsy are always help me out and give attention to my posts. Thanks a lot for one more time. Happy flying.

MotionX-GPS allows you to use various coordinates formats. I just open the app and follow the coordinates while I walk. I don't know if it will let you enter specific coordinates and show you the direction there. I'm still looking for an app that does that. |

Thanks Aero. It looks that is not free. I am going to stay with the google earth as it works very well and is free. The only negative i can find is that i must be careful with my top up credit as i am not using a plan at the country i am currently in. Keep it up. God bless you all. See you around.

Taranis Vector GPS ISSUES
Alright guys I got a question for you this is the first time I am using the vector in a fixed-wing and have everything correctly hooked up but cannot get the GPS altitude or the GPS coordinates to show up in my telemetry screen at all. everything else populates just fine, at first I thought it was because I was inside so I took it out back and after 30 minutes in the yard with a new battery plugged in still the taranis will not discover the GPS. And yes I am sure the GPS is working and the little LEDs are lit up. Anyone have any ideas?
SOLVED: Figured it out, after a crash my gps antenna was missing, popped on new GPS, works like magic |

What is the proper way to connect a FrSky X4R receiver to the Vector?
Using the unused microphone harness, I have signal, red, black from the Vector UART going to the X4R: Black, red then signal in the 2nd through 4th pins. The white wires all go nowhere except for the 2nd white wire coming out of the UART port which becomes the yellow wire at the receiver. Do I need to combine the red and yellow wire going to the receiver and place them both where only the yellow wire goes now? Thanks much! |
