February 8, 2015 Club Fly-In

With calm winds (until about 11 AM), crystal blue skies, and temps in the 60s, there was plenty of activity at the Larry Sanders Memorial Airfield today.

Taking advantage of the fine flying conditions were 8 members and 5 guests including Jack, Art, Pat, Ross, Chris, Tom (and Richard), Ruben and Marc.

The other 4 guests were a young local family (father and 3 kids) who often watch us fly from their house. Ruben invited them to the field for a first hand look at our activities.

There was a lot of activity in the air today. The notable flights include Jack's DLE-55 powered Aeroworks Pitts Python (which he actually maidened yesterday), Ross's maiden of his Messershmitt Bf 109, and Jack's re-powered Giant Big Stick using a DLE-85.

Also of note is Pat's finely built and smartly finished Fokker Dr.1 powered with a DLE-30. With crosswinds starting to kick up and only a skid on the tail of the big Fokker, Pat chose to save the maiden for another day.
