UMX Whipit DLG BNF Basic

Overview

Few modelling experiences can be as fulfilling as catching a thermal from a model launched by hand, with no other energy source involved. Until now, this experience has been out of reach to non-expert modelers for a variety of reasons. The E-flite® UMX™ Whipit™ DLG glider is for everyone regardless of experience level.

Like the high-performance discus-launch gliders (DLG) popular in competition, this ultra micro glider features carbon fiber for strength. The wing is removable for easy storage and is reinforced for right or left handed launches. A protective pod cover easily reveals the simple two-channel Spektrum™ DSMX® control system and battery. With just a single 150mAh 1S Li-Po battery you can expect long flight times either in your backyard, a local park or just about anywhere you want to harness the power of nature.

Omission of weight spec - unintentional. We'll find that for you.

Need for wingtip peg? Not required; simply pinch the tip between the thumb & forefinger.

Flying weight with a 150mAh 25C battery is 43 grams.

We will get the weight spec added shortly.

WOT and going nowhere
For the wingtip peg (Or lack of)- Is the wingtip curved downward on the end to give it better grip?

I suppose we can also just CA a little bit of carbon fiber on the end of the wingtip.

The wintip does not have any curve for grip. There is plenty of surface area to grip the wing and since the weight is low I have not had any issues with the plane slipping out of my fingers at launch.

I have not had any issues with crushing the wingtip or anything like that either.

Hope that helps.
