The Off Topic, Off Topic Thread

So how far off topic can we get?

How many posts will it take before it becomes a right/left political argument?

To start: The Whitworth measurement system is the best!
Followed closely by the English system, both out of England.

I think the "corrupted Wish" thread should serve as an example.

Or maybe a blackboard.

Trolling are we? What an arrogant statement. Only some right-wing, holier than thou, nutjob would dare make a claim such as yours.

By the Bye. What IS the best way to troll?

I'm serious. This is kind of like the "Kilroy was Here" chalking something out for posterior.

No trying to set records. It has to be a legit response to something. This is kind of like passing a secret around a circle. How bad can it get?

(maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the political end. This forum seems to head there at light speed anyway. I could have kept that a secret.)

Gerald: Is that a "whit" or a "whitworth"?

You've got the idea, but we need to be subtle. This is a trolling expedition.

Very good. I still have a set of whitworth wrenchs made by Snap-On. I was very big into the early sixties MGBs, Triumph, Lotuses, Morgans, Jaguars, Mini Coopers and even more marques. It HAD to be an English 2-seat roadster. Any other vehicle didn't exist.

I'm going to risk being labeled by saying the MGB's went downhill when they went to the smog engine and plastic dash. A couple of years later they actually raised the suspension. 67 and earlier. I've had seven.

There was nothing like the sound of an english roadster going under a bridge. Best feeling with your clothes on.

That wasn't the MGB. That was the Rolls Cunardly.
Rolls down the hills but Cunardly roll back up.

I got rid of the last one a few years back. Went and bought an RV and a boat. I miss it, especially with the little mountain roads down here.

Ok, if trolling and English cars are on tap, here's a funny riddle:

Why don't the English make computers?

Because they haven't discovered a way to make them leak oil!

as told to me by a very inebriated Scottsman. I wouldn't have understood it had I not been in a similar disposition.
