Nice work Jack. The color looks really classy. How's the quality of the hardware?

Ducting Question. is there ducting that connects the pre-molded intakes all the way to the fan or does the fan draw "open air" from inside the fuselage as well (no ducting) as pictured in the p20 turbine setup?

It uses open ducting with a bellmouth on the fan

All the pictures up until now have been the blue version, I was not impressed, BUT..............................................
I love the look of the red/white/gold version, now I will have to look at it more seriously. My Habu 32 is a 12S setup , would this benefit at all to run 12S?? Is the drag of the airframe going to limit speed so much that 12S would be worthless? |

The larger model was designed for Jet Pattern and constant speed so I'll assume the EDF version has the same traits, so if you went 12S for speed I would say yes, also it does not use full ducting so that will limit its speed too.
I would love to see your 12S Habu fly, have you thought about attending the Jet Jam in May? |

Thanks for posting, Jack. I'm very close to pulling the trigger on this one. It looks to be another hit from Sebart!

My 12S Habu only weighs in at 8lbs 1oz so it flys really well and really fast. |

Keep in mind a 12S setup doesn't really mean anything by itself, it's all Watts in electric. Higher Voltage (more cells) means more efficiency because of lower Amp draw at the same Wattage as a lower Voltage system, but in the end, Watts is how we measure power. A 12S system has more potential power than a 6S system simply due to the limit of Amperage we can push through the ESC and Motor, but if you are simply shooting for a 2,000 Watt system, you can do it on 6S or 12S or anything in-between, it all depends on how much power you need. Motors with more or less winds can end up turning the same RPM's at different cell counts, just something to keep in mind...

Yes I totally get what you are saying. My Habu setup is a Tam very high wattage system. I like 12S because I fly helis with the same setups. Almost everything electric I have is 6 or 12S setup. If I go 6S and get 120mph and I move up to 12S to get 130mph it isn't worth it, I will stay with 6S. The Habu I gained a lot by going to 12S so it is fun and exciting to fly. |
