Model shops in Hong Kong

Folks,

I am in Hong Kong (from Australia) and want to do a little shopping this weekend.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some models shops. I'm interested in Electric Sailplane and Slope.

Cheers

Dean..

Go to http://www.rcsail.com/hkrcshops.html

There is a list of HK shops...not many tempting items for Eflight.
Maybe u can get hold of cheap 10Cs Lipo.

Waigo has a neat looking Hirobo Catalina but they didnt response to my email. If u find something interesting let me know..my mum and sis is over there now..they can carry them back for me

Thanks Martin.

Looks like I'm being transfered to Hong Kong for 18 months so I'll have to get into some slope soaring.

Cheers

Nice place.
Been there two years ago and didn't find too much stuff.

Anyway, I'll look for the shop address and post it as soon as possible.

Hang in,

Michele

Ask the desk person at whatever hotel you are staying at where the model shops are. He'll know or be able to find out for you. On the Kowloon side, they are all in the same couple block area, although I do not remember the street names, sorry.

On the Island side, there is a shop that sells a lot of Robbe stuff and various electric modeling supplies. I think it's on the West end of Hollywood Street. Once again, don't know the name though. Walked past it and through it plenty of times but never bothered to look at the sign!

Of course, there's always the Wan Chai area to check out for non-modeling related evening activities.

The project I am working on is based in Wan Chai and I have already been warned.

I checked out a couple of places on the Kowloon side and found at least two good shops. I'll have to get down to Hollywood street to compare before I buy anything.

Here's the address. Seems very close to one of the above mentioned addresses.

WING JET MODEL Co.
Shop 25, Yan On Bldg., 1 Kwong Wah St. Mongkok, Kowloon
Phone: (852) 2782 0399

The owner is Mr. Cheung.

Rookie,

Thanks. That is one that I checked out and will be visting again. The other one which is the best so far was Waigo Hobby Enterprise Co also on Kowloon side and has a selection of e-stuff: kits, motors, lipos, radios etc.

Cheers
Dean
