Anybody got one yet, Interested in this as my first cam quad. I have the X4 and enjoy it so I was interested when I saw this one. Anybody get a test one ? If not I volunteer to test from a strictly amateur point of view

Can some one expalin "headless mode" to me? I'm not sure if it's just something that's lost in translation. I've been following quads for quite some time and I am seeing that a lot. Thanks!

The quad moves based on the magnetometer direction, versus quad physical orientation.

Example, your quad is armed pointing north, you launch and fly all over but the wind grabs it and lofts it so far away you can't get orientation back. You hit the mode switch to headless, face north, and now pulling back on pitch brings the quad south. Pushing forwards makes it move north, since that is the direction it was facing when you armed.

Hello SeByDocKy
I just watched your youtube video for the X6.
very good video , Thank you
I really like the size of this one.
the noise is bad though. I wonder if a
little white lithium grease on the gears
would help quite it up a little.

Hummm .... I don't think it will decrease a lot the noise .... coz I think the plastic structure is playing the role of a resonator ....

You are probably right. just a thought.
maybe a good candidate for a brushless conversion.

IMHO, a brushless conversion from a brushed system can't be done Under 70 dollars (4 motors + 4 ESC)... and of course if you can retrieve easily the PWM signal

yes probably 70-100 dollars to convert it.
I figured after the brushed system failed it
would be a fun project to do a brushless conversion.
only because I really like the look and size of it.
I hope the H12C isn't as noisy.

Just ordered one of these, Love the looks, And it really does look very maneuverable for such a big quad, My favourite thing is the motors with the mini JST plug for easy replacment. If, Like me, your soldering is mediocre at best then this is an absolute god send. The sound is a bit on the loud side but I'll suffer that for a quad that's so easy to maintain.

I buy one

First i order one today at BG .

2 reason after my continues motor replacement on the h8c . https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...7&postcount=72

This is as much bigger quad and i verry like its design . And! the motors are bigger so i hope they are now suitable for 2s. Ok it wont be that fast but its cheap at 65,00 euros whithout the camera . Dont need that one anymore have the CX 20 with gimball and sj4000 for that.

I just love to fly quads. The faster the better a 4s storm racing quad is on my wise list. But building it myself and bit cheaper would be welcome. So wait it out i have time quad technology is now in turmoil and prices will drop a bit.
