How fast and a Flat Wing Foamy fly?

I have 3 flat wing 3D foamies. I want to build a bore holes in the sky plane and I was wondering how fast can a flat wing fly? I have heard pitch instability occurs at high speed.

I want to build a flat wing/profile copy of a twin jet with one Himax 2025-2700 direct drive with a 5x5 prop. This setup will provide 10oz of thrust with a pitch speed of ~90mph (no, it wont really go that fast).

Any thoughts?

Are your wings just one thickness of Depron? What do you do to stiffen them...carbon rods?

Hi adrian, yeah all our wings fro all our aircraft are 6mm with a 5mm, Carbon tube!

VERY VERY strong...well at least the wings is the last thing to break up....lol...Weve had taileron failure at about 140mph.....and it stopped dead in th air, bu tht ewings didnt break, if you can imagine what i mean, the tail failed, stood on its tail, stopped dead in th air adn spat the batts out th etop 150meters away fro the mishap.....and the wings are fine!..

iv just posted that vid too on the site...or at least it will be posted in about 2 mins...lol, when its finished uploading...

hope this helps .

I see the problem. I don't use Internet Explorer. The page fails unless you use IE...too bad.

I tried it on a machine with IE and it worked.
