I very nearly took a weekend trip to the museum in Ohio this fall to see the only remaining XB-70.

That's a piece of aeronautical engineering magic. Not cheap but, magic comes with a price.

I was planning to go when the Sequestration Shutdown closed the museum during my vacation week.

I'm starting to plan for a spring visit.

It would have been about a 5 hour drive, one way, for me for a one day trip, it was raining and it was Kids Day there.
I was in Cleveland and the thought of 10 hours in a car for a single trip beat out my desire to see the XB-70 and the only other X-4 (the other is in Colorado).

Another trip to Muncie and the NMAM (for more research on Headley) is in the works and those two places are not that far apart.
