Greetings,

A very nice looking model there. One quick question, did you glass and resin the outside of the Hull?

Andre, I didn't fiberglass the outside of the hull -- but I should have. I simply sealed it with resin, but in transporting it to the pond on the stand has chafed it's way through the resin and into the soft wood, so now needs a bit of repair before she runs again. Personally, I would strongly urge you to sheath it with at least a 2 oz. cloth.

Joe, The ESC I used was a forward/reverse RC Car unit. It's one I've had around for a few years now so couldn't tell you what brand it is, but just about any appropriate F/W ESC will work.

Joe / Pat,

It looks like the HobbyKing ones. This may the model but not sure of the sizing.

Hi Pat,
One more question, (prop shaft using a section of brass tubing ) Can I buy a motor coupling
or did you make yours?

Joe, The drive hardware is available as a package from Dumas. It includes the stuffing box, prop shaft, prop and dogbone coupling.
