Very nice looking model.
Thanks for posting the plans.

Did you crumple up the mylar before applying it to the frame?

What paint did you use on the Mylar?

Thanks,

Pat MacKenzie

I have modified spektrum module for use RXF3P with my Futaba T8FG.

Hello Mikael,

What timing/PWM frequency did you program on the YGE 8S?

I have the YGE 7S with the XC2802 motor on my mylar Disney, with a 9x2,8 prop and Hyperion 120 mAh 2S 25C battery, but it has not enough power for the vertical lines. All-up-weight of my Disney is 76,5 gr.

What's the size of the Glavak prop (diameter and pitch)?

Hans,

I'm using the same motor in a F3P plane that weighs 97 g ready to fly. I tested it with both SG 9 x 2.3 and SG 9 x 2.8 with good results. No problems in vertical uplines. In this case the ESC was Turnigy Plush 6A but the YGE should be even better.

In most cases the default settings (12 kHz, auto timing) of the YGE are good. I usually change the low battery cut off to 3.1 V/cell and set the throttle end points with the programming card. Check those and make sure you are getting full throttle. The LED on the YGE board (at least on the YGE 7) shows the throttle position. The LED goes completely off at full throttle.

I don't have the programming card, but the throttle range is defined during the basic setup, no? Full throttle when arming the YGE 7S to get into programming mode (max. throttle stick position) and during the follwing 20 beeps throttle stick to the desired min. throttle stick position.

Actual settings I have programmed on the 7S: timing 30° and frenquency 11 kHz.

I do have noticed that the upper part (let's say above 85 %) of the throttle stick throttle range is not used, so indeed something might be wrong with the enpoint. Maybe I should have rebound the RX first.

Hello Hans,

I use basic setup on my YGE8. I have a propeller SG 9x2.8 and the power is very comfortable. I have limited the max puissance on my transmitter.

Get the card.
I found it can be easy to get the wrong settings, and hard/impossible to fix them using the stick programming.

It is a pain to have to solder a connector on it while in the model, but not impossible.
Even in the middle of a contest

DiAbLo3D,
Impressive airplane! so little foam. Great workmanship.
I see you are using the Deltang receiver. Are you supplying full 2S voltage to this receiver ?
