Vector fixed wing tuning techniques and gain knob setup?

I was wondering how others are setting up their gain Knob to tune gains mid air?

I noticed in my Vector software in the Gains page that under each gain (non Advanced section) the 'Use Knob?' feature is greyed out?
As if you can assign just the one gain ie. pitch or roll, to the gain Knob, as opposed to the Overall/RTH Gain just being on the gain Knob.

Are people able to assign a specifc gain to the knob for tuning?

Or are people just tuning via the OSD menu either on the ground or mid air?

Hello,

All gains are automatically tied to the gain knob for fixed wing. You can set them independently for multicopter.

Hello John,

Is there any way to have the Vector vary stabilization on one axis during fixed wing flight?

In other words, I'd like 2D mode to self-level the roll while leaving pitch fully manual, but then have 2DH and other stabilized modes affect both roll and pitch normally.

I'd like to try a roll-only stabilized mode for gusty landings without losing pitch stabilization during the rest of the flight.

Ian,

No, if you turn off pitch and yaw by reducing their PIDs to zero, then you will not have stabilization in the axis in other modes.
