New Product

MJX X-Series: X300, X400 and X500 (with FPV(wifi) capabilities)

After a few years MJX adds 3 new quadcopters with FPV capability through WiFi to their X-series line: the X300, X400 and X500.

For the moment all three are priced at $79,99 but I don't think the product descriptions at Banggood are up to date yet.
It seems unlikely to me that they would all use the same battery and that the X400 and X500 would share dimensions?

PS: is it just me or do these desings look familiar? I could be dreaming but they do to me.

The problem with Wi-Fi Video is extreme lag and very short range. Wi-Fi Video isn't new for FPV Quads, look at the QR W100S.

no one seems interested in this fpv quad...
Looks like JJRC H9D and SKY Hawkeye HM1315 are getting more attention.
Why so ?

MJX X3000 announces 15 minutes flight time and a 100 meters control distance :

The FPV system on the H9D and HM1315 are not WiFi based but work on 2.4Ghz.
WiFi based FPV does not work well, a lot of lag/latency.

Forget the FPV, this is just a great quadcopter by itself!

Just forget for a second that these are being marketed for FPV purposes (IMO should be a secondary "oh by the way"). The X400 that I have is an excellent quadcopter in its own right. It's both extremely stable in beginners mode, while also very maneuverable in intermediate mode. Or watch me set it to advanced mode here and do some barrel rolls!

Thanks t00nz! How does the X400 compare to the original L6052?

Somewhat similar, but a little too early to tell in flight performance. But in quality, better. It just looks and feels well made. This is one of the first quads that I actually like how the high rate auto-flip mode works with it. And the transmitter is one of the best that I've seen for a toy quadcopter. Hope it binds with something else (gotta go try now .

Just saw a review video on YT of this with a guy flying in the desert, small size but not too small. Looks fun, I might get one one day just to fly around aggressive if it lasts for a good bit. I'll put some money aside on day towards it, unless something cooler comes along

I'd like to open the bottom motor base to do some cleaning, but after removing the screws i'm not sure how to pull it from the main body. Anyone had any idea? Thanks
