Question

Dominator V2 compatibility with Nexwave RX

Ok, so I bit the bullet and pre-ordered some dom V2s Problem is, I run a boscam/skyzone TX and I have been told that Beta band RX has problems with the new doms
Anyone else running this combo?

I'm just received mine yesterday, the video reception is terrible using this module with the Dominator V2. I would not even try to fly without being connected to my ground station receiver. I'm very disappointed.
My setup is a Boscam 200mW TX with a Cloud Spirit TX antenna. Dominator 2 goggles with the NexWave Beta module and the antenna supplied with the module. I tried many different frequencies most don't even pick up on the goggles yet the image on the ground station is excellent. Frequency 5790 worked but the image is so badly distorted, you would never try and fly with it.

What kind of antenna did the nexwave come with? The cloud spirit is a circularly polarized antenna right? If the nexwave came with a linear polarized antenna that's your problem.

I was planning to buy the FatShark 5.8GHz Receiver Module BETA Bands for my Dominator googles. Any resolution to the issue above? Maybe I need to go with the TBS Rx instead.

Good tip - I had read some of the posts on this. Only concerns are:
- I do not have an existing rx, and it looked like it required retrofitting onto the existing Fatshark rx module, which I do not have. Is that the case?
- also, I was a bit surprised how many people reported minor problems that required replacing the new RX, which the supplier readily did - perhaps just early QC issues that are now worked through.

If your speaking about the link I posted I don't believe you need to do anything to it. As far as issues it seems most are pleased with it, sure there are issues with anything and these I believe are hand built so bound to be an issue here and there but he offers good support and will replace if needed as u mentioned. For the most part it seems like a good universal rx module, waiting for mine to arrive myself. I have a buddy who uses one in his Dominators which is how I heard about it.

Hi, any updates on the Beta band RX? Are there any improvements because I think on buying one?
