Steve,

Thanks, the thread was getting a bit cumbersome at times. Now just need MX to put his appearance in here to make it official. By the way Matt, when will next release be ready of the software for the Zlog, anxious to have your info on all my plots in the future. Also would be great if you have figured out how to plot the rate of ascent feature too. Maybe an add that takes first positive altitude, and first highest to compute rate of ascent might work. Thanks Steve and Matt.........

Joe

P.S.

Matt, just thought of this. Would it be possible for you to make the selection in the export area that asks if you want to "Print with color", a yes by default? Not sure why anyone would want it to be B/W anyway myself. Thanks......

Pete,

I'm the one building ZLogs. I have another batch coming up in about a week.
Ezone price is US$75 plus actual shipping. I have a waiting list to notify when
they're ready. I can add you if you'd like.

Thanks,

MX

I hope to have a new version to coincide with the next batch. I'll be adding
the auto zero and auto record options. I've got an idea for the rate of
ascent calculation that I'll try to work in also.

The Print with Color and print size options are supposed to remember their
settings. That's a bug that I'll have fixed in the next version also.

I'm also changing the way it marks altitudes of camera triggers so we get
full resolution back.

MX,

GAD!!! How can one human being possibly do all that you are doing. I for one especially appreciate your efforts, and the results thereof. The autozero feature will save me a few seconds each flight for sure, and always allow me to be sure that I have in fact zeroed the Zlog. I still think though, that you should see if you can get your logo onto the plot too. Hey, maybe as a very light background to the display. Now that would be killer. Sort of like a watermark. Thanks Matt!!

45 min HOOK flight

Getting more familar with my new Zlog, great unit. Here's a plot of a recent
45 min flight with my HOOK warmliner/sailplane. Wingspan 79" WT 61oz
prop 14x10 batt 10/3300's. You can checkout the plane here -

http://www.shredair.com/hook.html

There was bright sunlight & a cloudless blue sky for the flight &
about half way between the 260 & 520 second point I lost the plane & lost
considerable altitude & a few grey hairs
I had the Zlog set up for a sample every 5sec for this flight.

MX,

Thanks for a great product. A few things I would like to see are:

1. Click and drag for zoom. That would allow quick manuvering to a certain area of the plot. BTW - is this VB6? If it is, I would volunteer my time to do this.

2. Have a minimum altitude show up in red as well as a maximum, for those of us who like flying into canyons!

3. Make a trim for the beginning of the plot. (I know you can do this by editing the CSV)

4. Since you're in the autostart and auto stop routines. Could you make it autostart and stop based on altitude? This would be wonderful. Power the receiver on. takeoff. Autostart rec at X feet (Make it an option). When landing autoecd recording at X feet. Just a thought (It's my developer coming out in me). The autostart based on time is also welcome.

BTW - assuming the baro doesn't change, whats the supposed accuracy at say from 0 to 4,000 feet?

Thanks

ElectricBeeCam

BTW- What do you do when you're not working on this?

You're on the list. Hopefully my boards show up tomorrow, then off to the
assemblers for a couple days, so hopefully next week sometime they'll be
ready.

Thanks,

You're on the list. Boards arrived about an hour ago, so I'll be dropping them
off for assembly Monday morning.

Thanks,

MX
