Manta RG65

Float testing the servo / battery locations today. Note, this isn't the rudder arm I will use, as you can see, it sits a little proud of deck rail.

I like it so far, will be testing it against a few of the tried and true designs that were fast at the US Nats (Skinny /Sliver /Matrix). My target weight is right at 1000g.

Fitting the deck. Next up, to cut out access holes, which of course helps save a few grams of weight.

Hi RW, do you have any info on the Manta 2017 please, designer? Is it available?

I am thinking about upgrading to an RG65 and this is a very impressive result, especially looking at the competition it was up against.

I can recommend the manta2017 wholeheartedly. Available at Molinea Sails, Hungary. If you need files for 3D printing, also available here:

Well done to the Manta's.
We're any of those the printed versions? The files on Thingiverse look great and a big thanks for making them available - it's a lot of work to get to that point

Does anyone know if you can create a dedicated area in thingiverse that we can all upload STLs to? Might make it easier for everyone to find files.

I don't think there was a printed m17 in the Euro. The ones by Akos Kloiber, Imre Molnar and Kai Matzath were from Molinea Sails (Imre and Akos are running the business), and Huub's m17 looks exactly the same.

BTW, fantastic pictures by Sue Brown of Catsails. https://www.flickr.com/photos/catsai...7687472779343/

I put the m17 in an existing thingiverse group "RC Sailing". Not too many parts there yet, could use some more uploads

You are right. No printed boats at the EC.

Huub's boat is also from Molinea sails.Final assembly the night before the first race.
The boat was on loan to him for the Europeans, but he bought it after the 1st day.

Huub will be competing in the Open German championship this weekend.

Very nice venue, see picture below from last night.
