Legend Models 83" P-38

Has anyone seen any photos of this soon to be released 83" electric P-38?
https://www.jb-hobbies.com/presta/wa...lightning.html

The link on jb-hobbies seems to indicate that Legend Models is part of VQModels from Vietnam?

An 83" electric P-38 is definitely a "must buy"

Edit:
Found this link:

Manual:

Video:

Yes, I want one.

Legend P-38

ITC,
Thanks for posting about our P-38! Photos of both the new electric-ready version and the gas/glow version should be coming as soon as the first few roll off the production line. Both power options will be available in either silver or olive.

I entered my email on your site to be notified when available.
I am also anxious to see if there is an updated manual showing the electric build configuration details.
If you can share any other details, please do.
Will you be offering accessories like the retracts?
I will be buying the electric version in olive ... I've been waiting for an electric P38 this size for a long time!

83" is a nice size, and guys who had the VQ have nothing but good things to say about it. Electric P-38s are the way to go....IMHO. Video is of 2nd flight of my 90" Nitorplanes model. Has some substantial scale deficiencies, but it flies great. This flight was with Scorpion 4025-12 with APC 15.75x13x3 on 6s at 23#. Props were a little much for the motors, so I played around with different props, and finally decided to put bigger motors in to spin the APC props
Now has Tacon 160s on 10s at 24#, and moves right along.

Thanks for posting the video.
I am looking forward to this plane. I am getting a Hangar 9 P47D-1 delivered tomorrow and this one will be next.
Looking forward to seeing the specs when it's released. 10s would be ideal since I have those already for my 2m F3A planes.

BTW, where was that video taken? It looks like a very nice field and RCG says it's 94 miles from me?

We do have electric retracts and struts as an option. I just posted some new pics of the struts tonight.

I just learned tonight from the manufacturer that all of the P-38's will be electric-ready, rather than having separate versions for gas and electric. Documentation will follow.

Wiltonbury Club, just North of Hartford. About an hour's drive for me, might be closer for you

Did you retrofit with retracts? If so, which ones did you use. The struts do not look like the stock wire ones. Single or double receiver? Thanks.

Did a few mods, plug in wings, retracts, rounded the booms, modified the verticals to correct shape, ect. Retracts are Robart 636s.

There is a few pictures build pictures and flight data on RCU P-38 brotherhood thread, and the Nitro plane thread.

Thanks for the links. Dude, you do insane work, great looking airplane! I was hoping someone would mention the el cheapo General Hobby 90-in P-38 and they did. Finding out it had no flaps really spoiled it for me. I think the plane would fly just fine w/o flaps, but appears to be a bit of false-advertisement going on. Not cool and not supporting that.
Guess I'll hold out for the Legends model.
BTW, I've never heard of a new company (Legends) making only one model...seems risky.
