Just bought a bunch of there rare earth magnets. Great for holding down hatches. They are $1.79 a set so $5.00 buys a few sets.

yeah - i bought some wire i needed - i will say the kid behind the counter didnt like me using the $5 coupon on a $4.99 item -- total here was $5.34, and he said ,"just give me $.50 for tax" - to which i replied "last time i checked, $5.34 minus $5 isnt 50 cents - heres the change - have a nice day - see you tomorrow"

the coupon expires this friday so dont waste your time waiting for the weekend.

i got this deal from a site i like to check out - take a look sometime

You print it from the computer.

I can't get to come up right now but if you use google search and then bring up the cached copy, you can print it from there.

thanks for the tip nose_first. i printed off a few coupons and have just returned from a swing around town. (we have 10 RS stores in the metro area).

i went to four of the closest stores and got 3 packs of rare earth magnets, 2 packs of the heat shrink tubing variety packages, a bunch of zip ties, and two different styles of their "hobby motors".

out of pocket costs: less than two bucks.

i still have coupons left and they're burning a hole in my pocket. back to the web site for more "shopping".

LOL, i hadnt thought about hitting up different stores. I wonder if i could pay for something more expensive in increments, like go buy 1/4 of a new iron today, 1/4 tomorrow, etc

well , you could take some items back that you purchased during the week at different stores, and explain how you were cleaning out the workbench and only wanted store credit. but that would be wrong, right?

Hi all - I must say this really appealed to my cheap nature.

I just got back from a trip to a couple of stores - got some solder and a new tip for the soldering iron for $0.00.

Had a bit of a problem with the kids selling cell phones at the first store. They insisted that the coupon could only be used for ONE item (that is - I couldn't buy two 1.99 30amp tips and get them for nothing). So after a short argument about the meaning of the term "any product in the store" I gave in, smiled and drove to another radio shack....and got my second tip.
