Yuneec Apps

Looks like apps are in the Play store and App Store. One is Smart Flying and the other is CG02. Looks like with "Smart Flying" you will have the option of flying by tablet or phone. Just a guess if it is for the Q500. I know the CG02 App is for the new camera

Yep and that CGo2 will be on the new 350qx3 as well. I'm sure that was a smart marketing decision on their part once again.

I've been waiting about 1 year to see them come out with something, but like others here, by the time they find someone to carry their UAV's, they will be obsolete.

One thing to note though. They claim 1080p @ 50 fps and 12 MP. However their camera attached to the 350qx3 all of a sudden now get a small boost to 1080p @ 60 fps and 16 MP.

Is Horizon once again inflating their numbers to make it sound more impressive?

Good point. I "think" the Yuneec site specs on the camera is wrong. I've seen somewhere else noting the camera is 16MP and not 12. So, I think you're right. I'll send an email to verify.

50p is PAL and 60p is NTSC, it can probably do both framerates or they have two cameras/firmwares for different markets.

It would seem a no-brainer that your eyes-off controller and your FPV monitor should be able to be separated (that is, have your FPV closer to your eyes and adjustable, etc.).

Absolutely... I wonder where they went for their feedback? Screens in the transmitter are bad enough, screens at the bottom of the transmitter are all but useless.

I'm not even happy with my 7" mounted off the grab handle of my Devo10 and end up strapping it on awkwardly high when I fly

Wow... That transmitter/"ground station" as they deem it is an unmitigated disaster... It sinks the ship at the dock.

Yeah, it only costs $500 to be a test pilot and then you have to mail it back to get your $500 back or keep it for the low price of $500.

Thanks for posting Ben. I hope to hear back from them that I make the list. I say 2015 looks promising if this is what's leading the charge over DJI's Inspire 1.
