KC F-18 building help

being snowed in (lol) i thought i'd make good use of my time by looking at my "to do when your snowed in list".first on the list was my ejf f-18 kit. now i'v built a few plans before but maybe all this snow has my mind wacked, but right off the bat i cant figure out how to build the front fuselage.says draw some lines on each side..ok but where? then the 1/8sq strips..how far apart? i just dont see anything that will show/tell me where they go. as far as power goes..i dont know yet. i do have a 12x1250 pack.realy want something like 80mph and 4-5 mn flight times. any building help?
allso as i do have a great flying site that is way underused, with a paved runway, can i add retracks or is this out?
oh yes,i still fly gas powerd airplanes, but after working on my friends glow powerd jet(f-15)i told him i'd never own one! what a PITA!
thanks for the best r/c site on the web

I don't know if this helps. The red line peaking through is the fuse front outline. The yellow line is the 1/8" strips, former, or LEX.

Measurements from the 8.5x11" plans you got marked up by 425% should get you in the ballpark. It is a pretty close approximation of where things should be.

Look at the online instructions, it should give you a good idea of where to put the hook reinforcement as well as the approx location of the hook.
