Indoor 3D interest in Long Beach, CA

Anybody have interest in flying maybe once or twice a month after work at a hangar in Long Beach? The hangar is 100x100x50. I have flown my 3DX there quite a bit. I think for safety sake it may need to be limited to 8 or so ounce 3Ders (Shockflyer, MVP, Blade, Etc). How much interest is there?

Lots of really great places to fly here. Especially for small 3D type planes.

Where are you flying in Long Beach? I work right next to LB Airport. I don't have an indoor 3D but if I had a place to fly then that may change.

Absolutely! There were a few in the LB area put on by Steve at Dreamhobbies.com and some in Anaheim by OC aeronauts but they occur only once in a great while at best. Put something on regularly and you'll have yourself a winner. Count me in + 2 nuggets in training.

Count me in too, I have been itching to fly indoors for a long while. There are probably 10 or so other people in my club that fly micros who would also be interested.

OK well lets set a date! I think I might ask for $5 donations to give to our line service guys for moving the airplanes in and out of the hangar. Sure its their job but I think they only eat Top Ramen. How about May 14? 7 pm

Just learned May 14 is no good. Forgot about a ski/camping trip that weekend. How about May 21? Could always do it on a weeknight and not a Friday night. What night would be best for most. I figured Fri night since most dont work Sat and there may be some cool refeshing beverages.

GO GO GO

May 7, May 14, May 21

Anyday is good. Picking the date is always hard. Of course weekends aren't great because that's when most people fly outdoors. Most of the indoor guys picked a Tues or Thurs as I remember. I know several of the people who put on the previous indoor nights.

OK, well get your indoor planes together! MAY 20 is the date! Here are the rules:

1. 8 ounces or less, 3D or slowfly!
2. 2 3D at a time, we will see how it goes for the slowflyers.
3. Slowflyers and 3D will fly at different times.
4. We will not be responsible if the area is too small for you to fly in and your airplane is damaged.
5. We will not be responsible for any injuries.
6. No flying outside the hangar.
7. Somebody must bring video camera

If your going please drop me an email at bcripe7350@aol.com before May 13. Depending on interest, there may be a limit to how many we can take.

Directions can be found at www.arijets.com. Check out maps, then Long Beach Millionair. Do not call Millionair looking for directions.

Nick your on the list! Get that shocky done :-)
