Looks like a Bandit......

Although I have not seen mine yet as it fell off a container ship I think. Maybe next month?

Is this a replacement for the Bandit? As I will take one in lieu of my Bandit if its not going to get here before Thanksgiving.

Thanks....Greg

It looks like a streamlined Bandit with flared nostrils. Looks fast.

But at just 2" bigger that the Bandit's wingspan... not sure of the point. I thought the new model was a bigger bipe. Or is that still on the way?

It reminds me of the BMW X6.... the answer to the question nobody asked!

Nice plane, but I think I'll wait for the bigger biplane

here is a link to save you trouble.

Here is what the website says:

"Borrowing only styling lines from our successful PA Bandit we approached this project with an otherwise clean slate. The new XR-52 is not only larger but features unique custom-designed airfoils, a longer fuselage and numerous other design elements that were completely engineered specifically for this project "

Also note it has a new motor the Thrust 45 and runs exclusively on 4s.

So a bit of a different beast to the Bandit. Looks awesome too.

that makes the difference betwenn BMW and many other manufacturers...they don't wait for questions..they give answers...I drive such a car...because it gave me answers to a questions I never had.

Same for PA...they give solutions nobody did think about.

Jonathan (France)
My order is already placed...logically...it will be my 5th PA plane...

Man I got so excited when I saw a new email about a new release. Then I opened it and saw the Bandit. I already own the Bandit. I'm sorry but this isn't a new release, it's a revision.

I expected something like that, when they were putting up the sale out of the Bandit this summer.

Now everyone, who bought one this summer, will be quite disappointed.

Good job!

Nope,
that is a very different plane. don't get confused. I did use the pretty lines of the Bandit BUT the XR has a complete different aerodynamic design and I approached it as I would with any new plane. It is definitely not an enlarged Bandit.

This plane also has our new Thrust 45 motor which we developed specially for this plane and it's a blast to fly.
very agile very precise, its fast and has a LOT of energies and yet, slows down incredibly well and 3D very well. It has a very wide flight envelope.

No doubts you won't get bored
If you like the look of the Bandit and want a different style of plane to fly, the XR is a good choice

Hi guys,

Now this looks interesting! I've been enjoying my PA Extra for almost 5 1/2 years so far, but a wider flight-envelope would be nice. Looking forward to the demo vids!
