FrSky did discontinue them but Aloft and others talked them into re-introducing them. HK have them in stock at the moment - Aloft Hobbies probably do to. https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...hannel_RX.html (My fav RX too) |

Was gonna wait until I wrote off my Moray before getting an EFX but only managed to hold out for a couple of hours after release - delaying gratification fail! Was gonna get yellow but ended up ordering red (gf said so). Added a 3S 2200 and 4S 1800 to the order but went with the Zippy Flightmax 40C rather than G2 - less than half the price and good reviews. No buddy code that I can see. Either it hasn't been added yet or they've just hit a limit. Will try it at the field first but it's just coming into slope season here and that's gotta be worth a try. Can't wait.

If you slide the Rx to where I have put the green line, you would then have room to put the pins in from either side where I have the red arrows. LURCH |

In one of the videos, I'm pretty sure Stuart was using a Taranis and I could see one antenna sticking out the fuse side. So, I think he has managed to get a twin antenna FrSky RX in it. I am pretty sure the D6FR can squeeze in - I may remove the case and heatshrink it if its too tight.

great pictures, but I wonder if it will work with the battery in there, if it does I think its going to be a REALLY tight fit. This picture is from this review by Jason Cole |

Does look like they can be trimmed a bit - appear to also support the Servos so would not want to trim too much off.

Thats cool you have the plane in hand, any way you could put both a end pin receiver and a side pin receiver in the plane and maybe snap a few pics to see whats possible? I'm planning on doing that as soon as I get my plane later this week if someone else hasn't done it.

Ok, hello:
1) Yes end pin type Rx's are the best fit, that why we mentioned/suggest the R620 or Tarannis D6FR (though admittedly this is only on the international listing under the 'accessories' tab, this will be on all listings by Friday) With the Dual aerial Rx's, I route 1 down the fuselage and cut a little slit and have one coming out from under the hatch. 2) The foam tabs holding the Rx are there only to hold the Rx so they can be removed to fit other Rx's if desired. 3) Yes, its no secret metal geared only in the wing as this are in a higher impact risk area that those servo wrapped up nicely in the fuselage. Over a year of testing and development the tail servo's did not fail. They are up to the job otherwise they'd not be in there. 4) There have been no reported issues with interference between the Rx and the ESC on FRSKY, DSM2 and DSMX type systems. 5) We have higher initial stock levels with this launch so they shouldn't go on back order just yet.
