DJi E300 2212-920 motor mini-review.


My tests were as follows.

No Load.

M1 = .47A, 10,400rpm, 11.67 V, 891 Kv.
M2 = .54A, 10,450 rpm, 11.73V, 890 Kv.
M3 = .50A, 10,200rpm, 11.62V, 878 Kv.
M4 = .44A, 10,150, rpm, 11.58V, 876Kv.


With Stock propeller DJi 9.4 x 4.3

Mi = 8.14A, 7,800rpm, 11.36 V,% NLS. 77.1
M2 = 8.28A, 7,900 rpm, 11.40 V,% NLS. 77.9
M3 = 7.86A, 7,900rpm, 11.31 V,% NLS. 79.6
M4 = 7.79A, 7,800, rpm, 11.28 V,% NLS.78.9


This motor is not you can put bigger prop because even with this motorine is quite hot, but not enough to consider not accelerate fully.
Practically this limit in its 94 watts.
94 watts between weight 50 grams is 1.88 watts per gram.

Nothing to do with what many brands claim 3 or 4 watts per gram.

In multicopters, 2 to 2.4 watts per gram is much longer.
Avoid overheating to eliminate accidents.

Testing temperature.

The temperature was measured at the base of the motor, mounted on the arm of DJI frame.

Initial temperature. 88 F.
Full throttle, 80-90 watts max.

30 sec = 105 F.
60 sec = 119 F.
90 sec = 128 F
2min = 132 F
3 min = 138 F,
4min = 138.5 F. and the temperature stabilized. 59.2 Celsius.

Completely decelerated and the temperature rises to 147 F. seconds (63.9 Celsius) and then starts to decrease slowly.

If I touch the motor hood with one finger, I can barely hold it for 1/2 second. and it is very hot.

In my opinion, the motor is already being required to the maximum.
Do something for the motor to consume more watts, just warm him more and work efficiency levels far below the ideal.

If for some reason one requires more, you need to change the motor for a few bigger.

You can not miss after this test, a test to half throttle.
the results are amazing.

half throttle, 5.15a, 12.28v, 63 watts. initial

30 sec = 102 F.
60 sec = 118 F.
90 sec = 124.9 F
2min = 131.4 F
3 min = 135 F,
4min = 136.78 F. and the temperature stabilized. 58.2 Celsius.
5 min. stabilized temperature to 135 degrees. 57.2Centigrados.

For a mid-trotle, the temperature is almost the same as all accelerated, possibly those two degrees who missed it was because the battery is low and power used to end was already like 40 watts.
with a larger battery, possibly would rise up to 138.5 F.
