Brings back memories of competing against Otto, the Challenger was often at the top as he knew that plane inside out. I did beat him a couple of times, with a Grand Esprit no less! A lot of balsa bashing going on in that model but well worth the effort. Enjoy.

challenger goes electronic

I decided to put the challenger on cad - there have been some changes to the original dwg - I think it will be easier to build if I have a set of accurate plans that agree with the parts in my kit

before I forget, I want to be sure to comment on how nice the challenger kit is,

beautiful accurate ribs
very nice wood (balsa and ply)
parts bagged according to similar function
on and on I could go

the thing that I really appreciate is that its a kit - I've built many sailplanes from scratch and brother, that's a big job - just to get to this point where I am now with the challenger (kit) - so, again thanks ray for all you do - I really appreciate your efforts to keep these old woodies alive - when you finish a project that you built with your own hands it is very satisfying - there truly is "no free lunch"
